It has been said that Gratitude is the Gateway to Abundance. It’s also said that an Attitude of Gratitude leads to happiness and success.
So what are you thinking about? Most often in a busy day you find yourself focusing on your ‘To Do’ list rather than your ‘To Be’ list … thinking about what you don’t have or what you have not yet accomplished. Those thoughts of lack or busyness can lead to worry and feelings of overwhelm/frustration. What you think about expands and can lead to a downward spiral of disappointment. So what do you do?
Change your Focus …
- Focus Your Thoughts on Gratitude – Each morning, begin the day making a list of 10 things for which you are Grateful.
- Use Positive Statements – “Blessings are chasing me down.”
- Take the Time to Count Your Blessings.
- Create a ‘To Be’ list (Not just what you want To Do but what do you Want to Be?)
- a. To Be …. Happy – Smile and Appreciate being in the moment.
- b. To Be …. a Person of Increase – Become others centered. Ask yourself – “What would I really like?” – “What would I like to contribute?”
- c. Be Mind-full – be in the moment. “There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as if nothing is miracle. The other is as if everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein
“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.
Have you used one to say ‘thank you’?”
William Arthur Ward
