Standing before audiences of women at speaking events, I choose to introduce myself with this statement…. “I Am Woman – Hear me ROAR!” This is my declaration that I am confident, intentional and ready to soar.
Positive statements are great self-talk and as I often say, the ‘marching orders’ to our sub-conscious mind. What do you say when you talk to yourself? Are you declaring something positive or sadly are you turning your thought-messages into limiting statements? Affirmations (as the word suggests) are a means to Affirm (build us up), it comes from the Latin affirmare, originally meaning “to make steady, strengthen.”
Are you paying attention to your mind chatter because whatever you are focused on truly will expand? So why not choose powerful words to speak over and over again? When we verbally affirm our dreams we are empowered with a feeling of assurance that they will be realized.
A good way to state your declaration is with …. I Am…
I Am the Woman who….
I AM So Happy and Grateful now that I ….
Another wonderful way to reinforce positive messages is by reading quotes daily…. This is a great way to train your brain to develop a positive attitude toward life and through the repetition of reading these positive statements daily a habit is created.
Some simple but wonderful quotes to read daily…. “I have unique qualities and talents because I AM A WOMAN!”
“I believe in myself and my abilities!”
“I embrace success. The words “I can’t, are not in my vocabulary. I am unstoppable!”
“I Am a competent woman. I commit to thinking about what I want and believing my dream is possible.”
“My business is growing, expanding, and thriving.”
“I wake up today with strength in my heart and clarity in my mind.”
“I Am capable, creative and resourceful.”
One more … a POWERFUL one from Bob Proctor, “I Am so happy and grateful now that money is coming to me in increasing amounts, through multiple sources, on a continuous basis.”
“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do and liking how you do it.” – Maya Angelou
